GRAVESIDE SERVICE
The Choctaw Detachment provides a Graveside Service for all deceased Marines in the Baton Rouge Area. A copy of the Service is left with the family (left image) along with an explanation of the meaning behind the flag folds (center) . When a member of the Detachment passes a Bible (far right) is also presented to the Family and in many cases an honor guard is present at the viewing.
